Extreme Networks - EIAS-300/2
Course Description
The ExtremeXOS: Implementing Advanced Security (EIAS) training course provides instructor-led lectures and laboratory exercises. The course presents concepts and commands required to secure Extreme Networks switches and control traffic within a network.
Intended Audience The primary audience for this course is network switch administrators tasked with securing and controlling the traffic in an Extreme Networks switch environment.
This course is a prerequisite for ENS Level certification.
Course Prerequisites
A student must have the following skills or knowledge prior to attending this course: · Extreme Networks ENA Level certification or equivalent skills and experience · Solid theoretical and practical understanding of networking basics, including: TCP/IP addressing/ subnet masks, bridging, and other LAN fundamentals · Hands on experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Extreme Networks switches
Attending the ExtremeXOS: Operation and Configuration is strongly recommended.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the students will be able to: · Identify the steps necessary for securing a network · Identify potential threats to the network · Describe and configure Access Control Lists (ACLs) · Sequence the steps to implement · Describe Network Login design considerations · Sequence the steps required to assign policy-based Quality of Service (QoS) attributes · Display sFlow configuration and statistics related information
