With this level of certification, one should have the ability to configure and troubleshoot VLANs, port configuration, link aggregation, account management, software image management, Spanning Tree Protocol, ESRP, OSPF, and other commonly used features of Extreme Networks switches.

Pre-requisite

The mandatory pre-requisite for this certification is achievement of an ENA certification.

The Exam

The ENS exam is a 4 hour hands-on test performed at and guided by Service Pointe, an Extreme Networks ATP test center. The exam is comprised of two parts—configuration and troubleshooting. Candidates who achieve a score of 85% or greater in the configuration component will move on to the troubleshooting component in which a minimum of 4 out of 5 errors must be discovered and solved within the given timeframe.

ENS certified skills include:
  • Configure Extreme Networks switches in both Layer 2/3 environments.
  • Troubleshoot Extreme Networks switches for Layer 2/3 networking problems.
  • Verify a stable and working network of Layer 2/3 configured Extreme Networks switches.
  • Manage Extreme Networks switches using ExtremeWare CLI commands and features.
